Backing up all your Windows Mobile data is always a good idea to avoid any kind of data loss in case of data corruption, virus attack or hardware failure. Microsoft, the developer of Windows phone has released a new data backup application, called Microsoft MyPhone, that can be used to backup all Windows mobile phones version 6.0 or later.
Microsoft MyPhone comes pre-installed on all latest Windows Phones. Using this Windows mobile data backup application, you can sync all your contacts, text messages, photos, videos, calendars and other phone data. It has options to either sync your data with your system or web, to keep a secure backup copy of your data. In case your data gets corrupt or stolen, you can use the backup copy to restore all your data.
It comes with a features called “Lost Phone” that can be used to locate lost or stole phone by pinpointing the exact location of your phone on the map which is currently available to US users only. Using this mobile tracking feature, user can even ring their phone loudly even if it’s set to silent or vibrate mode, remotely erase all data from the phone, lock the phone and post an “if found.. please return to..” message on the screen, and more.
Microsoft MyPhone provides just only 200MB of online storage space for free and charges money if you want to use beyond that. But you can use your own computer to store data for free.
