How to Create and Display Photo Slideshow on Blogger

October 15, 2009 by Bapun   | Filed under Blogspot

Photo Slideshow is the best way to do more with a little space. There are bloggers who love to show a Slideshow using their pictures, technology based photos or niche images and this slideshow speak more louder than any text since it displays a number of images serially and takes a very little space, literally. You can keep the Blogger Slideshow either on the sidebar or just below the post by editing the HTML template. Here is how a slideshow on Blogger blogs look like :

Blogger Slideshow

Before moving ahead, you should get some images ready to display on your Blogger blog. Once you are done with the images, simply upload them to any supported web host, like Flickr. Follow the below tutorial for a step-by-step guidance :

  1. Head to Flickr and sign up for an free account
  2. Make a new album and upload all your images
  3. Add description and tags to your images and click on Create a new set
  4. Give a proper name to your set and save the settings
  5. Click on Share this >> Grab the link and copy the slideshow code
  6. Go to Blogger dashboard and head to Layout >> Page Elements >> Add a Gadget >> Slideshow
  7. Give a title and choose Source and Option as Flickr and User respectively
  8. Paste the Slideshow code that you copied from Flickr
  9. Click on Save to save the changes you have made
  10. You are done.

Now you can see your Slideshow for Blogger blogs on your blog. You can later add or remove images from your Flickr account and edit your album accordingly so that it displays selected images accordingly.

i tried this and followed the directions carefully but it did not work out! when i saved it at first, random photos showed up as the slideshow on my blog. Later, it was just a blank square! i’m very frustrated that i can’t do this! thank you for your generous help though! if you have any idea why this is happening, then email me back! i also tried doing this using photobucket, same problem.

@ heyseda : I guess you are making some error somewhere. Do follow the steps again and try since the method is working fine.
