Show or Display Yahoo Messenger Status Icon on Blogger Blogs

Blogging is not all about sharing great tips, it’s also about building relationship with fellow bloggers and readers. Giving a way to your blog readers to communicate with you will surely increase your popularity as well as reach. Displaying Yahoo Messenger status icon on Blogger blogs will allow your blog readers to communicate with you whenever you come online. We will be using some pre-configured Yahoo! Messenger code to show your Yahoo Messenger online or offline status on your Blogger blog.

Yahoo Messenger status icon looks like the below screenshots :

If Online >> Yahoo Messenger Online

If Offline >> Yahoo Messenger Offline

Whenever you come online on Yahoo messenger, the status icon will get changed to the I’m Online icon. Whenever someone clicks on the icon, it will direct him to Yahoo Messenger window to start chatting with you.

Displaying Yahoo Messenger Status icon on Blogger Blogs

  1. Login to Blogger dashboard
  2. Navigate to Layout >> Page Elements
  3. Click on Add a Widget >> HTML/JavaScript >> paste the following code
  4. <a href="ymsgr:sendIM?mymuse88"><img src="http://opi.yahoo.com/online?u=YOURUSERNAME&m=g&t=Style" border="0"></a>
  5. Save all the Changes and you are done.

Remember to change YOURUSERNAME to your actual Yahoo! Messenger username.

i wish to know how to put gmail and yahoo contact icon on blogger. i do not want to show my online status instead that can e-mail me through that icon.
