Digital Statement is an all feature ready wordpress theme. It’s inspired from Digital Inspiration and Statement theme and hence was loosely named to Digital Statement. And yes, it stands by it’s name. It gives your blog a whole new professional look with featured post place holder, twitter integration and many more. It’s simple, light yet effective and eye catching. This theme is using a massive collection of plugins. All the plugins are manually edited to work with this theme. If you don’t have much idea about the plugin and template codes, don’t upgrade the theme default plugins to it’s latest versions. Doing this will stop various things from working on your theme.

Digital Statement Wordpress Theme Features :

1. Auto post thumbnail generation. Theme will automatically add thumbnail images to every post. You can manually select the thumbnail images or can be theme dependent.



2. Fancy Zoom added to the theme which will enlarge your images in the post itself. The image will not open in a new page, but in the contents page itself. This will give a stylish look to your blog. (Try clicking any image in this post)



3. Works with all Wordpress versions upto 2.7.1.



4. All internet Browser compatible. Works like a charm with Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, IE7 and Safari. (People with IE6 might face some problems though)



5. Twitter profile integrated. Post your announcements on twitter and they will get updated on your blog automatically.



6. Featured post plugin will show all your featured posts on the top right. It’s a flash work and looks lovely.



7. Flickr images on the bottom area of your blog. Now let the world catch your photography skills also. Pics will get updated automatically as soon as you add new pics on Flickr.

I thing the above features are enough to make someone excited. Now it’s time to do some theme settings. Remember that Digital Statement is not having any theme control panel. So, you have to do everything manually from the theme editor page. If you are not comfortable in these things, read the following instructions carefully and follow them accordingly.

1. Download the theme and upload Digital_Statement folder to your themes folder. Upload the plugins folder to your plugins folder.
2. Activate all plugins from wordpress control panel.
3. To activate Featured Post category make a category for the featured post and get it’s category ID. Edit gallery.php, change showposts=5&cat=X to your category ID no. You can locate this code on line 14. Remember that you need to have at least two posts in order to get Featured Post working. For any problems, refer this page.
4. To show images in your featured post box, create a custom field gallery_image and link to a image while creating featured posts.
5. If you want the red login box to appear on the top right corner of your blog, navigate to Admin >> Settings >> Membership and check the option Anyone can register.
6. To enable twitter integration, get the javascript code from your twitter account and paste it by editing index.php on line 57-58.
7. Create a custom field Image and link to any image for your post thumbnails. If you don’t assign any picture, the first image from your post will act as the thumbnail. If you don’t have either of above, then a pre-defined image will be assigned as the post’s thumbnail. To change this pre-defined image, edit index.php on line 10 and search.php on line 14. For any problems, refer this page.
8. To show your details on the right navbar, navigate to Admin >> Users and fill up your Biographical Details. Make sure that you gave a gravatar image associated with your email.
9. To display Flickr images in footer area, navigate to your Flickr account and upload at least 10 pictures. To add more images navigate to footer.php and edit on line 16.
10. To highlight author comments, navigate to footer.php and look for line 32. Change the comment_author_email to your email address.
