iDrive – Free Online Backup Service for PC, Mac, and Mobile Phones
Keeping backup of your data is very important because of two main reasons – (i) all computer data storage system fails, eventually (ii) we might delete important files mistakenly. If you a professional and using your system to store official documents, or even if you are a home user who stores memorable pictures, videos on the system, you should give proper priority to backups. Having a backup on your own hard disk is not secure since if the system crashes, you loose them all. You might also prefer to keep them in an external hard drive such as flash drives, DVDs, etc, but what if they get corrupted or lost?
iDrive is a online backup service that provides ultimate backup service with 2 GB free online storage. If you were struggling for some decent and secure backup space online, simply register a free account, download their backup software and you are on the go. 2 GB free space is of course a decent free space to judge their service.
If you are a professional or don’t find 2Gb of free space enough, simply go for their “Pro” or “Business” accounts for just $49.95 and $499.95 per annum and get 150 GB or 500GB storage space respectively. You get the convenience of paying them either monthly or yearly. They provide different user accounts to manage your data which is beneficial if you are a group of members and managing a single backup solution online. Check out their pricing.
Being an experienced, professional and top competitor in online backup services, iDrive provides the most secure and reliable platform to store backups securely. Automatic backup, true archiving, versioning, continuous backup with mapped drive backup and other features are performed securely with faster execution and data transfer speed, making the online backup service easy and faster for you.

I think online backup offers like Mozy is really useful and convenient.
You can subscribe for their free 2GB offer for you to try at this link: https://mozy.com/
That would be enough to most people to backup their most important documents (not photos/music/videos) on a distant server with regular backup schedules, instead of using an external hard drive and sometimes forget to do the backup.
I used iDrive for two years long time ago. But they lack for many things. One of the examples that made me left with them are the 2gb limited space. Nowadays, there are many online backup service like Jonathan mentioned Mozy. But mozy also have some limited store. I prefer carbonite for their unlimited space that they offer, even more they offer a free 15 days trial which you can test all their service. After that you have to pay only +$50 per year which I think is not a lot.
Thanks for this great article!
