Google Chrome OS Project Released

Posted by Bapun 22 November, 2009

The much anticipated Google Chrome OS has been finally released by Google as a open source project. Google claims that this new Chrome OS will be the fastest operating system in the world but few people also think that Google OS will face a strong competition since Linux is still around. However, the main advantage of this OS will be the newly developed implementation such as online data saving, faster system start up, high protection level etc.

Key Features of Google Chromium OS

  1. Google Chromium OS will be the faster OS ever. It will load up in 3-4 seconds and will arise the biggest challenge for Microsoft Windows OS which takes about 45-60 seconds to start up.
  2. It will be the next generation OS, with complete focus on internet activities. Google Chrome OS will feature almost everything that a common internet user demands.
  3. Chrome OS will store all user data online, instead of the local hard disk. All user files and data will be stored online for more safety and security purposes.
  4. Since files will be stored online, there will be no data loss in case of  Chrome OS crashes. Users can format the system and re-install Chromium OS and all stored data can be recovered from the online storage.

Google Chromium OS won’t be available for download until the end of next year, but developers can download the Chrome project source code from www.Chromium.org and make their own Chrome OS.
