Solution to : Internet Connection Disconnected Due to Inactivity

November 30, 2009 by Bapun   | Filed under Internet, Softwares

There are few ISP (Internet Service Provider) who disconnects internet connections after a period of inactivity. When your ISP server notices that there have been no data transfer taking place and your connection is idle, it disconnects your connectivity with internet. This is very annoying since you might have been busy with something that does not require internet connection but when you come to use it, you find this disconnected. You can use a freeware called ConnectBuddy to stay connected, even after a period of inactivity.

ConnectBuddy is a free program that simulates Internet activity to prevent disconnection from your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Some ISPs will disconnect you if you spend a little too long reading a Web page or just a few minutes away from the computer. Even unlimited access ISP accounts are often signed off if they are inactive for a period of time. ConnectBuddy resides in the system tray and keeps you online by periodically retrieving information over your connection and making small mouse movements at an interval of your choice. The program interface is extremely easy to use and requires no technical knowledge or configuration. It start up automatically when you reboot your computer.

Using ConnectBuddy, you can read web pages for a longer period, leave your computer idle for a longer time and then come back to find that there is no “Internet connection disconnected due to inactivity” notice on your desktop. It’s compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 and Windows XP.
