Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is an new compiled edition of MS Office and will be made available on new computers, using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) distribution method. MS Office Starter 2010 will replace Microsoft Works, which is coming as pre-loaded on new computers presently. Office Starter 2010 will differ from other Office suites as it’s going to be the first ever advertising-supported version of Office 2010, which will provide maximum exposure to PC owners.

Office Starter 2010 will feature Office Word Starter 2010 and Office Excel Starter 2010 with some new user interfaces such as Ribbon menu. Users will have an advantage of upgrading MS Office Starter 2010 Beta pack to to complete MS Office suite easily. Microsoft has just recently started a new invite system for Office Live Workspace users to try their hands on this new Office Starter 2010 SKU product. Additionally, Microsoft Office 2010 Beta 2 is going to be launched this November, hence, this starter pack might face some downgrade as far as user preferences are concerned.

Microsoft does not guarantee everyone’s access to Office 2010 Starter program and the selection procedure is yet to be confirmed and finalized by Microsoft. However, Microsoft will send personalized emails to selected users with details such as registration procedure, download link and installation method etc.
