Firefox browser has been designed to store user passwords so that it can get the user logged in automatically without entering login details again. But in case you have forgotten the password for one site, you can use the Firefox master password to view saved passwords for all sites. However, if you have forgotten the master password itself, you need a third party tool called PasswordFox to view stored passwords in Firefox. PasswordFox shows record index, web site name , user name, password and other important details.
Simply download PasswordFox and run it on your system. This tool will automatically display the passwords of the last profile that accessed Firefox. Even you can see other Firefox profile passwords by navigating to “Select Profile Folder” and selecting the desired Firefox profile. It’s compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista.
P.S : Few anti-viruses might display false alert while installing this tool, but the developer of this Firefox tool confirms that this tool is safe.
