Windows Mobile 7 Features Leaked
Windows mobile 7 is one of the most anticipated releases in 2010 where sources claim that Microsoft might make an announcement on the features and details of Windows mobile 7 at Mobile World Congress 2010, which is going to be held in a little over a week’s time. Windows Mobile 7 will be a feature rich mobile edition with an array of new features and options. However, before it’s official release or press note, it’s features has been leaked to internet. Let’s know what’s the leaked informations confirm.
Windows Mobile 7 Features (Leaked)
- The User Interface (UI) is based upon codename “METRO”, similar to the Zune HD User Interface with a complete revamp of the “Start” screen
- No flash support
- Application installation through service based delivery (marketplace) only, no application installation via storage card is possible
- No Multi-Task support – Run one application at a time
- Windows Mobile 7 Marketplace will now support “try before you buy” apps
- No NETCF backwards compatibility – no backward navigation possible
- Full Zune integration
- Windows Mobile Device Center has been withdrawn as Zune software will take over syncing via PC
- OEM Interfaces will not be allowed to run on the device
- Full XBOX Gaming Integration (Gamer tag, achievements, friends, avatars, merchandising, etc)
- Support for social networking
Microsoft is yet to announces the details along with Windows Mobile 7 price and other details. However, the leaked source claims that Microsoft is trying to launch the Windows Mobile 7 by September 2010.
