Yahoo! Search Widget for Blogger / Blogspot

Most of bloggers use Google search box in their blogspot blogs. But adding a Yahoo search box will give your blog a whole new look with a difference in search algorithms. Yes, Yahoo and Google use different algorithms to show search results and hence you can give your blog readers a whole new searching experience. Yahoo search box will pull out search results using Yahoo! search engine. This search widget is designed to fit in any blogger sidebars, no matter if you are using any wide or fixed width template. Your visitors get the liberty and scope of searching either your blog or the whole web.

Now people can search for your blog contents using Yahoo search widget. All search results open in the same page, making it easier for your readers to hit the back button and come back to read more on your blog.

How to add Yahoo search Widget in Blogger / Blogspot sidebar

Click on the below Add Yahoo search widget to blog button.
It will open a page to customize your search widget.
Add any title to your search widget. “Search” is the default one.
Give link to your blogger / blogspot blog in blog URL field.
Click on Customize and then Add widget to my blog.
Select the blog where you want to display this widget and click Ok.
You are done.

Note that Yahoo! should have indexed your blog contents in order to provide search results from your site only. You must submit your sitemap to Yahoo for better search results from your blogger/blogspot blog.
